The Clockwork Of A Writer's Mind

I'm Your Jekyll, You're My Hyde:

I was blind to your faults. I believed in the untrue.
I'd never been in love, but I thought I was with you.
But I was so wrong! A truth I can't conceal!
I'm not right for you, and babe I never will!

I was lying to myself, but I guess I knew.
We weren't strong enough, to make it through.
I mean no harm, but it's just too hard.
I gotta say goodbye, there's no fresh start.

I'm your love, and you're my pain!
I'm your sun, and you're my rain!
I'm your hope, and you're my dread.
I'm the start, and you're the end.
But we can't deny the truth, we know deep down inside.
That I'm your Jekyll, and you're my Hyde.

I ignored my premonition, coz I thought we'd work it out.
I always had concerns, but locked up all my doubt.
But I was so right! I should've walked away!
I'm no good for you, and you'll see that someday!

I was kidding myself, but I guess I knew.
We weren't close enough, to make it through.
It wasn't my intent, to break your heart.
But I'm saying farewell, there's no fresh start.

I'm your love, and you're my pain!
I'm your sun, and you're my rain!
I'm your hope, and you're my dread.
I'm the start, and you're the end.
But we can't deny the truth, we know deep down inside.
That I'm your Jekyll, and you're my Hyde.

And I never planned, for it to end this way.
I'll always care for you, but what more can I say?
Look after yourself. We both know this is right.
But please don't hate me, after I leave you tonight!

I'm your love, and you're my pain!
I'm your sun, and you're my rain!
I'm your hope, and you're my dread.
I'm the start, and you're the end.
But we can't deny the truth, we know deep down inside.
That I'm your Jekyll, and you're my Hyde.

Turquoise:

The day begins, and it passes you by.
The years come so fast, in a blink of an eye.
You loathe what you do, and life seems unfair.
But you stick to the sidewalk, and never take the dare.
So I question you now, why don't you make a move?
Just give me an answer, don't you have something to prove?

Just embrace it, we ain't got much time!
Don't waste it, or it fades from sight.
You've got a chance! So why not use it?
Don't stall now, or you will lose it!
But why, are you still waiting? I can see you're hesitating.
Make the most of what you've got, and stop procrastinating.

You're so fortunate, but yet so blind.
You can't seem to see, the world that's outside.
Stuck in front of a box, just hiding inside.
You don't know what it is, to be alive.
So I question you now, why not make a change?
Just give me an answer, shouldn't your life be rearranged?

Just embrace it, we ain't got much time!
Don't waste it, or it fades from sight.
You've got a chance! So why not use it?
Don't stall now, or you will lose it!
But why, are you still waiting? I can see you're hesitating.
Make the most of what you've got, and stop procrastinating.

The days still fade, time is wasting away.
Your dreams and ambitions, start to decay.
And you may never, accomplish anything.
So just get up now, and start something!

Black Saturday:

The darkness came, with no warning, at all.
Glowing embers, as the ash, began to fall.
It happened so quickly, no chance to escape.
There was only two options, we could stay or runaway.

Now that the smoke has settled, we see the devastation.
But we stand together, we stand as a nation.

The flames filled the sky, but you stood by my side.
As long as I have you, we'll make it alright.
So many causalities, just engulfed by the flames,
But as long as I have you, we'll rebuild our lives again.

The sun turned red, and the heat, was so intense.
Where did we go wrong? It simply doesn't, make sense.
Homes in ruins, and carnage all around.
I close my eyes and listen, but there's just no sound.

Our heroes dressed in yellow, face the toughest battle yet.
But as long as we have hope, then we can conquer it!

The flames filled the sky, but you stood by my side.
As long as I have you, we'll make it alright.
So many causalities, just engulfed by the flames,
But as long as I have you, we'll rebuild our lives again.
